This history gallery contains art works and paintings that take their artistic inspiration from notable events or figures in history.
Here are various paintings that cover a wide spectrum of subjects. In the first place famous philosophers, momentous events
infamous criminals to famous Egyptian Queens.

What will you find here?

You will find depictions of great historical moments and great historical events. Furthermore you will find famous historical
people. As well as legendary love stories and even great legendary battles. Indeed the art works here are influenced by the
great historical events like the signing of the “Magna Carta“.

Heroes and Villains within the History Gallery

A notable example is the last-stand battle of “King Leonidas and his 300 Warriors“.  Another example might be the disquieting and
unsettling “Jack the Ripper”. Where we see his unfortunate victims represented as broken statues.  However this has a counterpoint
by the lovely expressionistic swirls and curvy gingerbread houses. Another painting is the playful “Eureka!”. This is where philosopher,
mathematician and scientist  Archimedes made his “mass” discovery.  Which came to him due to his body’s displacement of water during his bath-time. Furthermore we find the painting of Socrates. He is standing in an open courtyard awaiting his followers.
Moreover we are captivated by the piercing eyes of  Cleopatra in “Queen of the Nile”.
